| Covered Bridge |
| Upper Tinicum Church Road snakes along Swamp Creek until it meets Geigel Hill Road, just up steam from the covered bridge. Technique-wise I worked a bit looser for a plein air look. I like the raw energy and feel of this painting. The surrounding landscape was powerful with tall trees and rushing water. But the covered bridge remains the focal point. I decided to paint the sides of the bridge white even though they are actually red. It just worked better. |
