Wickecheoke Creek

These huge weathered and eroded Sycamores were so intriguing to paint. I like the organic shapes, shadows and reflections in this composition. The creek originates in Raritan Township on the Hunterdon Plateau and passes under the Green Sergeant's Covered Bridge, the last remaining covered bridge in the state. It reaches the Delaware and Raritan Canal and the Delaware River at Prallsville, New Jersey.
